Do not act as though you have proved anything. You have not been hired. You have not completed an academy. You have not made it through Field Training. You have proved you meet all the MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for the job.
Congratulations.
I stand by my prediction. On the (very small) chance that you get picked up anywhere, you will not be a cop five years after you get hired. I promise.
And FWIW, you DID get convicted. If you had been found innocent of the charge, the judge would have no authority to order you to take anger management classes.

On behalf of the NYPD, I do apologize if it seems like 90% of the freaks who come on here happen to be candidates for our job. Maybe I should stop pasting RealPolice bumper stickers on the back of short yellow school buses.
