    DMV Record

Morning everyone, my question is for anyone that may be able to help. I went to the dmv a few months ago to try and get a copy of my driving record but all that I received was a paper saying my record was clean. Now I know I don't have any points or anything and haven't received a ticket since about 2000 but when I fill out the background packet how am I supposed to know every single ticket I ever received and the dates? Do I have to ask for a "special" dmv printout? I look forward to hearing back the responses and thank you.

Almost forgot, I am 28 and live in CA. The tickets I am unsure about happened when I was between 16 and 18. Thanks again.

Not sure how it works in California, but in Maryland when I went through a similar request for my driving record from Maine, I was told to ask for all "source documents" being that the information that I was requesting was past a certain date in time. Hope that helps.
‎...let me stop you right there, sir. There's only two of us standing here and only one of us cares anything about what you have to say.

Also what about a ticket from other state that does not show up on your home states DMV? Where would that info be found?

You can call your auto insurance and ask them. I didn't know that they are able to do it, but my car recently got broken into and I asked them when my premium would be able to go down. They told me in March because of my tickets and then told me all of them. So you can try going about it that way! Good luck.

If you've gone 8 yrs w/o a ticket, I wouldn't worry about it. Just put on the app what you remember. Nobody is going to get upset if you can't recall the exact day, month and year if it was that long ago and you were that young.
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine

Yes, we can and will find out about tickets from other states in background investigations. Unless you have received an ungodly number of traffic tickets I don't see how hard it should be to remember them.

I remember all two of my tickets I received. One was for speeding in 1994, and one for speeding in 2001. Just be honest about it.
