Yeah, but these are bright line disqualifiers. They don't mean that just being outside of those guidelines means an automatic pass. Especially if the agency you applying for is federal (and with those liberal marijuana use guidelines, it could only be one federal agency I know of) and you are going to have to pass an SSBI, which is about as serious as a background investigation gets.

Considering I pass all the test phases with 98-100% approval rate and If I get a department head to go to the board and petition in my behalf will this help?

Just a small piece of advice, my foreign born friend... when spell check corrects the spelling, it changes the meaning of similarly spelled/sounding words.

Reports are going to be hellish for you. Get to know your Records Clerks very well. Buy them plenty of flowers and chocolate's.;)

No I'm not foreign born otherwise I could not get the job. Did you forget about the first requirement to get this job?

Yes I lived in 3 different country's and English is my second language. At least I can reach 3 diferrent cultures and that is a big advantage for a cop.

True but not every foreign born is automatically an US citizen (like the other friend implied), it depends on the Country and the choice of citizenship made.

I noticed there is a lot of "hate" and disrespect in these forums and no sense of union at all. No wonder the aprovall rate in the Police is so low. Disappointing really as we are all chasing the same goal and could really benefit from a healthy experience exchange.

I'll close this thread, but you need to realize you're overreacting. There is no sign of any "hate" in this thread. I read through each post to make sure I wasn't missing something, and while I found what was clearly sarcasm, no hate was seen (or even offensive language/statements). If you're that thin-skinned, law enforcement might not be right for you.

And regarding you're "sense of union" comment, dude, you have all of 10 posts to your account. None of us know you from Adam, and you expect us to be one big happy family without knowing anything about you, or anything about us by you? Do you expect a "sense of union" each time in real life that you meet someone for the first few times?
