    Driving record,

    Short question: I only had my drivers license for a year, well that be a problem?

    Hey guys / gals

    I work in the City and take public transportation to work (currently a waiter) and school. Drivers license wasn't a priority for me, because I didn't own a vehicle or needed one. But I did get my license a year back. The question is, well me having my license for only a year hinder my ability to get hired?

    They usually want you to have 2-3 years at least of driving under your belt but every agency is different. Who are you looking to go for?

    Some people got their license so they could be hired, and it was obvious at driver's training.

    You MUST pass driver's training before you're off probation, or you will be terminated (unless they've changed this). Just drive as much as possible, and you'll get better.

    Yes, that's what I plan on doing. Drive drive.. and more driving.
