Did I Sell Drugs?

Here I am thinking about becoming a trooper. But When I was 12 or 13 my older brother showed me a bag of pot in his room. A friend from school asked me if I knew where he could get some pot. So to impress him I took some of my brothers stash and gave it to my friend. He asked me how much I wanted and I told him what ever, he gave me money for it I think $10 or $20 bucks. Now like 7 years later I admitted taking it from my brother and my brother laughes at me and tells me it was just tobacco. Then later that year I broke my arm and I was on pain meds and some older abusive kid at my bus stop told me he would kick my *** if I did not give him 2 of my pills. He was always beating on me and I was scaired so I gave him two then trashed the rest of them so he would leave me alone. My question is do I bring this up? Did I sell drugs? Is my age an excuse.

Regarding the pain pills, the situation as you laid out is not sale of a controlled substance, it is robbery on the part of the other kid.

Do you bring it up? Yes. Is it a DQ offense? I don't know, based on your age. You will need to check with the department itself.

i just have a quick ?.....i was in the hiring process w/a police department n upstate ny, but was dq'd for failing the polygraph. the ? i failed was, "did you lie about any of your past drug history?"...i said no, but the polygraph read deception. in all honesty,i was completely truthful. i never sold drugs and smoked marijuana once, but i think wut tripped me up was that fact that i have an older bro who sells................but anyways, i just wntd to give a lil background of my sit. and my ? is would this dq also dq me from the process with the nypd....jan 09 hopeful (i'm going to take my letter telling my reason for being dq'd w/me when i go for processing)

any feedback would b much appreciated, thanks a lot

I don't see the pot for cash instance when you were 12 causing a problem. You a were a stupid child trying to be impressive. I'm glad it wasn't a gun you found instead to show off. Kids do stupid things.

On the pills, I agree with Sierra. You were robbed by a punk. Simple as that. You complied with his demands to keep from getting hurt, which is what we tell people to do if they find themselves in situations where they can't reasonably defend themselves.

I work nights, so even on my days off I'm a night owl. Just ridiculous to switch back to a day schedule on my days off and then back to nights to work, and back and forth and so on - wreaks havoc on you.
