    Poly again?

Are there any background investigators that can help me on this one? I applied to a local agency a year ago. Took and passed the poly. I withdrew my name from the application process to try for a federal job. For a multitude of reasons, I decided to re-apply to that same local agency. I don't have to take the entrance exam again but my BI says I have to take the poly again. Now, I'm not stupid because I realize a lot can happen in a year, but the whole poly? Wouldn't they just cut this four hour process down by asking me stuff that could've happened in the past year? I'm sorry if this sounds like a stupid question. Thanks. (BTW, had a baby and stayed at home for a year, not out hooking or selling dope).

You will drive yourself stark, raving mad if you insist on asking yourself "why" a police agency decides to do ANYTHING.

Just accept it and go with the flow. MUCH less stress that way.

I agree with Citi and woud add why in the world would you withdraw unless you were offered the federal job first? withdrawing late in the process is prob going to have left a bad perception of you. Hopefully you can overcome that.

ANYTHING could have happened in a year. You could have done dope, you could have committed an undetected crime, you could have stolen from an employer, boinked a dog, etc.
