When are you thinking of applying for a LE job?

If you say sooner than a year and a half, then, you'll likely be better off busting your end off learning from a software program.

From talking with various agencies and recruiters, to think that you'll be able to attend college while going thru the academy and your probationary period is highly doubtful.

If you're willing to wait until after you get your AA, then go thru the process of 3 classes in college.

Since the hiring process will likely (at quickest, likely longer) take 4 months, I would get the software and take a Spanish class.

That wouldn't cut it for us, we need to get to the intermediate level . I took French, since I already had a foundation in it, but I suppose it's probably a nearly useless language to know outside of New England.
    Always we begin again.

I'm already on a few hiring lists, and almost went to the academy last summer for a local department. I wouldn't be looking to do the academy or FTO and collage at the same time as they would require all of my attention. I Have military so an AA isn’t necessary but I'll finish my associates with in the next year as it will just make me a better candidate having it.
