You have to be 100% fully honest throughout the process anyway. What do you have to lose my friend? If you get DQ, you get DQ. Just go for your dream without fear or doubt. In the end you will know you told the truth and can hold your head up. It does not make you a bad person if you get DQ. Keep trying to get on with other agencies. Some agencies DQ people for other things but not something another agencies would. Try another state if you have to. If this is what you want more than anything in the world and keep going for it, some agencie will see that take you on. Just keep groming yourself for the position. Be the best you can and integrity is key in becoming an officer. Nothing suprises me about peoples past. Its what are you doing now and where are you going in my opinion.

Several police officers have advised it is a disqualifying event. I pointed out the Arizona State law showing why it would be disqualifying event. Still other officers (in addition to me) have stated that a requirement for law enforcement is to be of 'good moral character'.

I can't believe you just said that... A joke is one thing, but your post I don't find the least bit humorous and extremely disrespectful for an explorer that probably has ZERO time in the armed forces, making crack jokes about a section of the U.S. Armed Forces. I find it disrespectful that you would even dream of saying that someone who has had a sexual attraction to dogs, should join the navy because as you said they are open to "all sexual orientations".

It's one thing for a group of service members to dig on one another and dragging each other through the mud. It's a COMPLETELY different story for a kid with no time in the military to even attempt to do the same in such a disrespectful manner.

Do you realize sailors have been killed in every single war defending our freedom, do you realize that multiple sailors have earned the Medal of Honor in the GWOT, unfortunately their families had to receive them, and did you know that sailors are serving with the Marines in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan as corpsmen as well as other important jobs such as chaplains and religious program specialists?

Show some respect, I can't believe you think of people doing dogs when you think of the United States Navy. You and I are teenagers we have no right to make fun of the US Armed Forces, we're not in the military, we should just sit back and say thanks for all they do. Show some respect! Why don't you go read about the heroics of United States Sailors, instead of mocking them! Yeah, I think it's time to "put this dog down"... To "let sleeping dogs lie"... Because "that dog don't hunt"... we've all "fought like cats and dogs" on this issue... in this "dog-eat-dog world", I've found myself "dog tired" of this topic... it's time to "call off the dogs", as this thread has definitely "gone to the dogs"...
