    Polygraph: Interrupt (LAPD)

he said my breathing was inconsistent and there were some movement. He was some what right about the breathing; see the thing was, before the test he reminded me serveral times to breath easy. me getting all stressed over it, i kept on trying to maintain my breathing tempo and such.

people have said that this might lead to an automatic DQ (which would be extremely unfair). The polygraph examiner told me that "maybe today wasn't your day, we'll send this to personel and they should schedule you for another time. Now that you know how this goes you should be doing fine next time."

    :(

    what do you guys think?

Just breath normal, trying to control your breathing is viewed as a control measure to try and fool the test. Movement is also a wat to try and fool the test. Its not uncommon for other people to have the same reaction as you but just be honest, follow their directions and hope for the best.

sir..i've heard horrid stories about poly. He might have thought that maybe i should've taken it another time but what if the personnel thinks of it as a Counter measure?

Every situation is different and there are no certainties in the processing to become an LEO. Wait till they call or call someone in processing and see if they can tell you.

Saying stuff like NAH MEAN is an auto DQ for an LEO position.
