I want to apply to the RCMP and I am wondering about a few negatives points that I have in my background... I need you guy's opinions.
I am 22, now studying at university and have a clean record.
About the positive I'm studying for a bachelor's degree in sociology, I've been working security and prevention for 3 years. I've done a lot of volounteer work. I am in good shape.
Now here's the negatives points:
1-At 17 I drove drunk. It was the only time in my live I've did it. I'm also conserned about the underage drinking of the situation.
2-At 19 I tried marijuana. I choked and never tried again. I wasn't even intoxicated since I choked the smoke out :D
3-I'm cited as a Suspect in a police report due to a cross-complaint of assault. Long story short: When I got out of a bar me and my friends got attacked by a groups of drunk guys who didn't like us. We only defended ourselves. The complaint didn't even reach the crown attorney's hands as it was frivolous but still...
4-I was recently forced leave my job by the administation because I went to talk to some person because he called me names- he ended up assaulting me with a 1 meter long sledge hammer he had in his car. I successfully defended myself and the guy got arrested. The administration started and internal investigation on that incident. They said I've started the whole thing and didn't want to back me up so I decided to leave my job. I didn't taunt the guy, I tried to reason him asking him: 'Do you feel like a greater man because you insult people?'
