A crazy individual made a report to the police that I made annoying phone calls to her after she had asked me to stop. Police officer and detective called me asked me to stop making all contacts with her. The report was not filed with the DA, no arrests, or charges. What do you guys think this all means in terms of background checks? Will this be seen anywhere?

It's doubtful. But if you are asked if you have ever been investigated for anything then be honest.

If you knew how many of those I did in a week you would throw up. Also most of the time its easy for the cop to see that both sides are playing a part.

Sorry, I didn't understand. Can you please elaborate. WHat does that mean and what happens to these reports.

Its usually just a blotter entry, states person 1 called and person 1 ans 2 were both advised to cease contact with one another.

Call th departments you want to apply to and ask, we cant answer how every department would handle this

There are plenty of crazy people out there. What will matter the most is if you made the phone calls or not or if there is any evidence such as phone records, caller ID observed by the investigator, etc.

Depending on the individual department policy where this incident took place will ultimately decide if a report is on file or not. Some agencies require some kind of report for every call, others don't. The only way to find out if you are concerned about your background investigation is to call the investigating Officer and ask him / her.
