Question about HOLD

Someone made an interesting assumtion to why i am on hold for nypd because of paper work, basiclly they are waiting on every civil service test i have taken to send a letter of the test score i have and where i stand on each one including the ones that havent been graded. Obviously this isnt done to everyone because i have many friends who are cops and who are in this july class who took every single test i have taken, with a lot more negatives on their record then me. (i understand everyone case is differnt just wanted to point it out)

Well some people are telling me that maybe they arent hiring me because they see i am taking so many law enforcment test and undergoing investigations for 2 other department. So they are going to assume i am going to leave when one of these places hire me if they hire me.

I know this sound ridiculous but after it was pitched to me it doesnt sound to far off. My investigator was shocked when she found out i was on hold and she says i am one of her better candidates. The chances are i will never get off hold because i doubt a department who doesnt even have my score yet is going to reply to NYPD.

Maybe this is all in my head and yes i am a little disgruntle on how the process went but i still have respect for everyone who has helped me along the way i was just wondering if this is a posibilty for nypd or any other department and if it is i am sure it will never be admitted.

not to be nosey or anything like that, but what civil servents exams did you take?

about 14 other test i dont want to list them.

14, that should not be a problem, were they in the city our out of town?

So far I took FDNY exam two years ago did not attend the orientation
Took 3 nypd exams
paid 70 bucks for the PAPD exam
Paid 40 bucks for the MTA exam
Took Seattle police exam at John Jay, man that exam was 99% NYPD attendents
Took DCPD police exam at john jay again mostly NYPD was there!
Recently just took charlotte metro PD which I passed.
And NYDOC !
Forgot Department of Sanitation

I took 11 civil exams so far!

I guess your right, I guess certain departments like the NYPD worry about you joining other departments which have more attractive pay and benefits!

Ehh its just a guess. i could be wrong but the one i am currently processing for and the other that i was when i handed in my nypd paper work are known for taking NYPD officers

its a real bummer that your on hold, I hope the NYPD resolves your issue so that you can be hired for january. I never herd about being put on hold because of taking to other civil servents exam. IT does suck that lots of negative people become cops while good runs get rejected. But just keep on trying dont give up. Officer hernandez that guy from world trade center movie, true story, tried many times to become a cop and many departments included nypd did not give him a break luckly PAPD answered the call.

What if you remove your name from all civil service tests?

did they tell you you might be able to make it for the july 21st class?

yea if they recieve all the letters back which isnt going to happen.
