    Detained But Not Charged

Does anybody know if being " detained " but not charged for anything will hold you back even if you include and explain the situation on your PHQ ?

Maybe, maybe not, depending on the exact circumstances. If you didn't get charged because the victim decided not to cooperate after positively identifying you, that will obviously be worse than having been eliminated as a suspect...

    Question

There was no victim, it was a theft of my delivery truck which an item was stolen and I was detained and questioned. The prosecutor decided not to press charges. That was 13 years ago, and I've always included the situation on all applications and it's never been a road block not even in the pre-screens.

I've filled out petition forms to have the "detention" removed from my recored.
Will I have to put down again when I do another PHQ (Personal History Questioner ) ?

I think that if your explanation of the incident is satisfactory...you'll be fine. Was the truck/item ever recovered and was anyone ever arrested ?

No I don't think it was, bad part about it was I was just on the job 2 weeks so technically I was still in the probation stage.

    Thanks for the insight.
