Bell4fan and all of us other recruits had a great week. He had some things to do this weekend and I told him I would post for week one of the Academy. As for week 1, we got a little weekend sendoff yesterday, to make sure we really want to be there. The class started with 129 and was down to 122, or 123 by friday afternoon. It will be intersting to see how many come back sunday evening. It's saturday morning and I woke up at 4:19 with no alarm. Scary that it is already, after one week, becoming a habit. Also, I want to add a special thank you to the two previous troopers who posted on here. Your posts have done a lot to prepare me mentally to have a better idea of what to expect and what to look forward to. I think that all for now. Week 1 down, only 25 more to go.
Congrats to the both of you.
What happened to those who left so soon ?

I guess they were just not as dedicated as they thought. However one of em had his mom pass away right at the start of it.They let him go to the funeral and he never came back. Dont know if I could have came back that soon either.

Hang tough guys, it will be very rewarding when you get to the end.

Congrats!
So how many came back for week two? Hang in there!
Everyone came back, but 7 left by Tuesday. Have lost 13 so far, down to 116. Otherwise a good week. I think everyone is starting to find their groove. This week went by pretty fast.
The true test will come when the holidays start rolling in. Watch how many bail after Christmas.
You will have a tremendous amount of OTE(Overtime Earned) after you get done. Yes it is looking ahead, but why the hell not look ahead?

Week 3 is complete. We lost another 5 this week, so we are down to 111. Bell4fan and myself are hanging in there good. The only real issue most recruits are encountering is the exhaustion that builds by weeks end. I passed all my tests this week, so I don't have to be back early this week. I froze on my first vocabulary test last week, but made a 92 this week.
