    DUI expungment

    i am in the Navy and about to come to the end of my enlistment. before i joined, when i was 18, i got a DUI. the judge allowed a deferrement, he made the bail my fine, no community service, and a i commpleted a alcohol awarness course, i also had to have no convictions within a 90 day period. after i completed these requirements of the deferment the case was dissmissed due to deferrement. two years after the DUI i got the defferment expunged and was told that i could leagally state that no such charge had occured. my question is if i apply to a local police department what should i say or not say about the DUI? it has been a little over four years since the DUI and have no other convictions of any kind since.

    I suggest you answer all questions on your application and during your interview honestly.
