when you do the test be consistent with your answers. they repeat themselves 500 times. so on question 1 dont say your afraid of water, and on question 456 say your not afraid of deep water.

A psych test isnt a game to see if you can beat it. There is no way to pass it. Be honest, if your sane you'll get passed if your a F'n nutjob you wont.

You know, time after time I see these posts about the stress involved with the Psychological Exam. And it seems to be greater than that of say, the written exam, or the oral board, or the physical exam. I guess the main reason is that THIS is where the department looks into the "real you". And there is reason to be worried about the Psychological Exam because I can tell you from experience that some people really don't belong in this profession. Some people just don't have the right mindset for the job and should be doing something else.

If you are worried about the psychological exam, there is probably a reason for that. Nonetheless, and as with all things releated with law enforcement, you should ahere to the following, as I usually state about most things related with law enforcement in regards to your character.

Integrity is the only leg you will have to stand on in the courtroom so you may as well start with yourself. Answer the questions about yourself honestly or you won't make it to the academy. And that's the harsh (and honest) truth.
