    Back ground check?????

I was wondering if getting kicked out of college for bad grades, will affect my back ground check for any law enforement i apply to? and if so how bad will it effect me. I have a clean record and a great credit score, hopefully this could help. Thanks for any response.

You don't have to worry about it, you'll never make it to the background phase.

How do you think you're going to pass a criminal law class in a Police Academy?

For future reference, getting kicked out college for any reason is never the highlight of one's career.

You're going to have a hard time finding anyone who will hire you, let alone in the profession of Law Enforcement.

Contrary to popular belief, you actually have to be educated to get into Law Enforcement.

Oh, the word background is one word.

A lot of police agencies have a minimum college credit requirement, and its goin to be hard to make that since you got kicked out. Your best bet, if you really want to become a LEO, is to join the military, do a good honorable 4-6 years, and then you should be good to go.

Honestly? It would be a waste of time even filling out the application.

The military suggestion is a good one.

Can you not petition the school to someway let you back in? If you can graduate from that same school or another one the incident will basically become non-existent. Otherwise, it will be devastating in any career field, even garbage-man.

Well, did you get kicked out because you had a deadly disease you didn't know about at the time, or because you drank too much? There's a difference . Go back and finish.

Study hard. I just got my BA on Saturday. College is not about what you know at the end, it's about what you will put up with to get that important piece of paper. You have to really want it to get it, they won't just hand it to you.

    Good luck.

Good attitude, and good for you for trying to help your family out. It's tough, I left because of illness, stayed out because I was helping my family, and just finished my BA this week--and I made an A- on my senior reserarch project. It's tough, especially when you lose the momentum, but it is doable. Keep at it.
