I did my psych test on tuesday, and met w/ the psychologist today. it was cake. i took 2 test, totalling about 900 questions. The key is to pay attention to your answers and stay consatnt with your answers. dont answer one question saying you like to be sociable and around people, and 200 questions later say you like being alone.

my interview lasted 5 minutes. i was flagged on these ??'s.

You stated that you often have days,weeks, months where you find it hard to get motivated.

answer: "i work long hours and when i'm off work i dont want to do much."

You stated you had previous police involvement
answer: " I have only had 2 speeding tickets, wasnt sure how serious of involvement you were looking for."

You stated you fainted once.
answer. " i gave blood and passed out afterwards."

Thats was it. I asked her if I passed. she said she couldnt tell me that, but that my test looked good, so.....

I'm not lying when I say it took me longer to write this thread than my interview took.

lol if you did well on that 1,000 question scantron, you will be seeing 6 months of scantrons (1st, 2nd, 3rd trimester exams, patrol guide test, and most of the written PTTD tests, and following every OT training you will receive a scantron test [although i use the word test very loosely]). Plus i believe each lucky saturday will involve scantrons so you better get used to them.

has anyone else notice how much paper this department loves to waste? I couldn't believe how much paper was involved in the background check/hiring process but that is dwarfed by the papers used in the academy. I would estimate that I have been given over 4,000 pages of paper by the department in the 4 months so far.

I answered as honestly as I could. So Im assuming the purpose of the oral interview portion is to go over questionable responses?
