    Advice

As you all know I am working PT now at a PD. There BI didn't really didn't ask to much into this incident, but I think others will. When I was 9 I went and saw a psychologist (3 times). I was having a hard time fitting in during school and just needed someone to talk to about it, so my parents took me there. I have not needed one since, and I don't see my elementary school years as part of my life because they were just dumb.

Will a BI look at this closely? I will be honest about it, but I just don't think it effects me anymore, plus I don't even know where/who the doctor was:confused::confused:. That is how long ago it was, and I am not even sure if the reason I posted is the reason I went there.........is that weird????

I dont see a major issue with it. If you were medicated as a result maybe but i dont see any potential issues with it.

You worry too much. You were 9. Mom & Dad dragged you there. 3 visits? As long as no meds, the NYPD would not even give it a second look. You should be 100% fine.

You should be fine if that's all there is to it.

Seeing psychologists due to a close-person's death, divorce, life-changing event, etc. as an adult is considered "ok" as long as you weren't heavily medicated or diagnosed in that unable to cope type category (sorry can't remember the clinical name).

At an earlier age, with "smaller" issues like feeling like you just do not fit in at school, mild depression, etc. then I don't think it would hurt people. So you should be good - just be honest and explain it to the BI.

You remember going 3 times, but not sure the reason why? You might want to remember better. It may be important to you, or the psych doc.

Hahahaha, I am an advisor now!!!!!!!!!!! They must not have done a very in-depth BI.

Thanks guys, from your responces it doesn't sound like a big deal. Like I said I was 9 and just wasn't feeling like I "fit in" at school because kids in my school were IDIOTS, they all wanted to do "bad" things and I didn't want to do any of that because it was "wrong." No Meds. Never have been on ANY med for emotional/depression issues. I am a happy person!!!

I will be upfront and honest about it (never would dream about being dishonest).
