When I was 18 I engaged in civil disobedience, plead guilty, served probation, etc. I experimented with substances for a very short period.
I'm now in my mid-20's, have held down a steady job for 4 years, pay my bills, clean my home, etc. I've been good, responsible, mature... heck, I haven't even had a traffic ticket in 5 years. My behavior is healthy now and I don't suffer from any mental illnesses that would cause any mental health or stability concerns. I'm reasonably intelligent, performed very well in school, decent on standardized tests, am often a top performer in whatever I do and receive awards and/or recognition. Have a long history of civic engagement and volunteering.
Now that you know my background, I'll get to my question. Due to a year of "finding myself" and some of it's implications when I was 18; is a career in Criminal Justice something I should write off or is it still possible?
