Well everything is moving along fairly quick with my first choise department!!! I have passed my BI and have an interview in 2 weeks! However I have to get a driving record but my old state only goes back 3 years and the dept. needs 5. Any advice?

First of all Congrats! I would tell the department you are applying to about your situation considering the three year versus the five year requirement and see what they suggest. Also tell the old state the same situation and see if they can pull it from archives (if any) given that it is for a position in law enforcement. It couldn't hurt. They actually want a DMV printout??
or just your driving history?
This is all stuff they can easily get.......just surprised they would want a copy from you.

most departments i have applied to want a certified copy of driver abstract....they got all my info already, it is kind of wierd.

Especially when they can access your DL history from all states just with a few keystrokes.
