Background Investigation and Oral Board

I haven't gotten this far yet in any of my applications so I was wondering if anyone knows how it goes. Does the BI ask you things like why, or what have you done to improve since such and such? Or is it more like a questionnaire that you just fill out or answer exactly all the naughty things you did since you were 2 yrs old? But seriously, I also wanted to know if departments like NYPD and I think New Orleans have no oral board, so does that mean the BI is more strict? And in departments with oral boards, do they ask you questions all ready covered by BI's?

No one can tell you. It vaires by department.
