    Need advice big time!

Let me give you the 411 on myself first:

25yrs old (26 next month) white male
I have 3 semesters left to complete a B.A. in Business Management
Currently working for a Real Estate Investor as an Agent/ Office Assistant (since 1/02)

Other than doing some research and physical training I have no other experience or training that has prepared me for a career as a LEO.

I have scored very well on all the written and PT tests I have taken but I feel I've been coming up short in the interviews. I had an interview with Garden Grove PD on Tuesday and Irvine PD yesterday with 2 more coming up (LASD tomorrow and Orange PD on Tuesday).

I guess I'm looking for ideas to sell myself in the interview without having any kind of real preparation for a career in LE.

    Your advice is GREATLY appreciated!

I've found the S.T.A.R. method to work well for me. LE agencies realize most applicants don't have LE experience (though it's not uncommon for LEOs to transfer to another department). The interview will likely deal with how you will deal with a situation, so use your past experience to explain your answers. Give examples of how you dealt with a given Situation or Task, the Action you took to fix the problem, and the Results of your problem-solving skills.

Here's more on the S.T.A.R. approach, and I've found it to work well for me: http://www.quintcareers.com/STAR_interviewing.html
