    talking to former neighbors/friends

I was wondering about background checks when it came to neighbors. When I was in high school and middle school I never really talked to any of my neighbors, didn't even know their name. Will they still reach out with them and try to make contact. Who exactly do they talk to when it comes to background checks. Do you have to give just names or names and addresses. I would have trouble supplying inn dept info. I would just be able to give names.

Sure they will. They will come right out to your house and check out the upkeep.

They will ask your neighbors about their impressions of you. If you have rowdy parties on Friday nights, he wants to know about it.

I don't know if you are being serious or not, but if you are what the hell has it got to do with your neighbours? What if they don't like you and tell porky pies about you?

It's possible, and they'll probably bring it up. They are digging for character flaws when they do these background checks. More accurately, they are looking for patterns that are not consistent with what they are looking for.

If your neighbors don't like you and have to make things up, they are going to try to find out why. Then they are going to compare those sentiments to other people they talk to and determine if there is something going on that they can't live with.

My backgrounder came out and talked to my neighbors. Luckily, they liked me ok and I didn't smoke weed on my front porch. ;)

Our BI's talk to neighbors. I had a trooper talk to me once about my neighbor that was applying.
It is pretty common practice here, especially with a good BI.

Yep, they have to know what people think of you, it helps them get a more rounded picture of who you are and if your neighbor is saying something that isn’t true they are going to know, this is kind of what they are trained to do and what they do everyday, you only have to worry if you have lied about anything.

My BI came on a day that I was working on the front yard. Since I live in a very small community (kind of a circle drive) he came over and told me to "get ny a$$" into the houe until he was done.
I guess he did not want my presence outside to have an influence on what my neighbors said...

That seemed a bit unnecessary. He could have easily asked you to go in while he was conducting the interviews.
