Medical and psych

So i passed my 2 minute interview the other day lol as i was waiting in the secretary's office the Comissoner and dept Comiss came in and said to her were going to send Matthew(me) for his medical and psych so im thinkin to myself well i guess i did alright...so the secretary tells me the medical is at 11 am and noon then u will have to come back here to meet with the psych at 4 and it runs about 3 1/2 to 4 hours .. my eyes widened i was like wow... but then (lol) she was like its a 1000 mc question booklet my mouth just drops ... she never mentioned anything about a polygraoph thou... do most depts have that as standard? and sorry 1 more question sorry for makin this long... but im 20 years old.... the academy starts in july and january... i turn 21 in september... does that mean ill miss the july academy since im only 20? or is it 21 to be appointed once you u graduate the academy? thanks for ur help

Take a moment to use proper grammar, spelling and punctuation. To answer what I think are your questions.

1. Not all departments use a polygraph. Many do, but not all.
2. You'll have to look at the laws in your state for hiring LEOs. If they allow you to be under 21 when you start the academy but must be 21 when you finish, then your answer is "yes." If not, "no."

Thanks, im used to talking online with the abbreviations since im young and grew up with the aol times :rolleyes: lol thats why i use the shorten versions. Also i was in a rush so that didn't help. So dont worry my grammar and all is just fine but thanks for caring :D. I looked at the recruit packet i had and saw it was 20 to be appointed not 21, so that question i had is deleted. The secretary said its four hours long and most of it will be talking to the psychologist, so im assuming it must be a polygraph, unless hes just gonna ask me questions from the 1000 mc i have to do..
