I was here a while ago and was asking a whole bunch of questions about some stupid stuff I did two years ago that I told my file manager about during my application process.
Anyway, I finished my BI, they told me it came back good and my file manager said she was going to fully recommend me to the selection commitee (not sure how to spell that) and that they usually go with her recommendations. She also said she doesn't want to guarantee anything. She says I have one black mark on my record that she doesn't feel is serious but someone higher up might.
About two years ago, someone at my job robbed a vending machine (no money, only candy). Me and another guy found a drawer with three or four chocolate bars in it and ate one. I felt bad about it and replaced them. But I also didn't say anything about it. I didn't know who actually did it. Regardless, if I could go back I would have done it different. That is what she says is the only mark.
Anyways, I have a Bachelor of Education degree from university, my Emergency Medical Responder Certificate, I am a certified teacher and have done extensive volunteer work with children and seniors. That being said, do you think that is enough to offset the one stupid mistake I made? What do you think my chances are?
Thanks.
