I know I have said so before and that is reading the tread "So you want to be a cop"- is a must, well folks, it is a must, because it has some helpful tips. I am speaking to the " new to this site" folks that comes on and ask all the questions but do not follow advices or instructions. One tip that stands out to me and should stick out to you all is do your own check before you apply. It will help you in many ways and save you and the hiring agencies time. Slowing the agency down with your mess can also slow down a good qualifing applicant; and some would ask how long will the process take.
I know I still deliver mail but will work my hiring process in due time. Here are the reasons why I am posting this. The examples are in front of me and here we go. My wife is a recruiter for a firm that recruits stirckly for Lockhead Martin, she had a recruit who apllied, he gave out some of his history but failed to mentioned that he had a felony on his record, agravative asult. He went through the process and started working and two days into his employment, he got canned. He failed to release the info. His case is a bit different from my intro but it still falls into wasting time, his and others.
The other case is of someone i know who just applied and went through the process without researching, and was wondering what was taking so long and whoop, there it is, three weeks into the process he was disqualified. Too many moving violation.
The point - people please, when you ask, remember you are asking a professional, an insider and follow every tip, take into consideration a suggestion, plan to apply for yourself as well as others. Thank you!
