sharing background info

I recently applied for California Corrections and previously completed the whole background process with a local sheriff dept but was unable to attend the academy for personal reasons, when corrections does the background process are they going to contact my earlier background investigator and what information will they share? is there a mutual professional courtest and obligation between background investigators?

Our BI's routinely talk to other PD's BI's. Good investigators always share info back and forth.
