I've seen a lot of posts saying how great lasik, etc. is and how much people have loved it, but I have not seen any posts detailing the requirements of various departments in regards to lasik surgery. For example, the FBI requires 6 months minimum between surgery and appointment. How about the NYPD and ICE ? I've looked but can't find anything. How much time must elapse after surgery ? 1 week, 1 month, 1 year ?

Correct, NYPD could care less as long as you can pass the BS eye test during your medical :p

I wouldn't worry about ICE. No way in heck you'll see that job within a year of applying....likely two.
