LAPD Background Check

Hello,

I had my Initial Background Review with LAPD on 5/14 and turned in all my paper work.

They said I'll get a letter in 2-3 weeks, but I didn't get any letter or a call from the BI yet. I'm starting to get worried. How long does it take for me to get a call from BI?

And, all my References said they didn't get any packets in the mail from LAPD.

Should I call the Personnel on Monday? or just wait...

It doesn't hurt to show interest in a position by calling to get the status of your application. Keep in mind that the LAPD probably gets thousands of applicants and there are only so many background investigators to go around.

I wouldn't get too worried yet....trust me I know how this city operates. I did the expedited testing and it still took about 5 months to be assigned a BI. Supposedly they're moving quicker these days.

If I get DQ'ed, I would still get a letter or a phone call from someone saying that I got DQ'ed right? Or would they just DQ me and move on without telling me.
