    Arrow How to get them to raise NYPD starting pay

    If every recruit packed a lunch instead of buying in the 13th, all the stores and shops would suffer an economically (the average recruit spends $10.00? a day, give or take..times that by at least 450 recruit daily...5 times a week). Business owners would complain to politicians and politicians would raise starting pay. The we wouldnt have to choose between top pay and starting pay. We could have both.

    What do you think?

    And if we all boycott gas stations on a Wednesday, that will make them lower the price of petrol, too ... ;)

    all things considered..

    guess i walked face first into that one (petrol :rolleyes: ). but seriously, broke recruits do not make a good case for a raise buying lunch everyday.

    Ummmmm if recruits are so broke why are you buying lunch....... 10 dollars a day adds up to a lot of money so if your so broke how about saving that money and bringing a bagged lunch

    I may get flamed for this, but...

    The only way the pay is going to go up to the levels the PBA wants it to be, is when the media starts reporting a rise in crime in the same breath as the NYPD salary, which hasn't happened (yet).
    3/2/07 test - Passed
    4/16/07 medical - Passed
    4/17/07 written psych - Passed
    4/18/07 oral psych - Passed. Kicked back into review by ex-wife.
    4/18/07 met with BI
    4/19/07 JST - Passed

    Psych review - waiting, they ARE scheduling me for a re-interview.
