    Gambling/Clubbing

So when I first turned 18 (legal here), I went to the casino about 8 times or so in the course of about a year, and was going to the nightclubs close to every weekend for awhile. I grew tired of the casino, and although I was never addicted to gambling, I felt I went too much. As for the nightclubs, I hated the atmosphere from the start, but only went because it was something to do with friends.

I was reading my personal disclosure form for the police today, and there was a few questions on gambling. There wasn't really any questions on the nightclubs though.

Do you think that my going to the casino as much as I did, and the clubs as much as I did, are going to be a red flag to the background investigator?

When I turned 21, I went to the bars every Friday and Saturday for about 8 months straight. I got drunk quite often, and also went out during the week to the clubs. I don't consider that excessive because it was a right of passage, per se. :D A lot of my friends did the same thing. Its not like I do that anymore.
I also have gambled before, but that isn't an issue.

Speaking of gambling, I'm going to Casino Niagara for the first time next weekend! I'l psyched!

8 times in a year is less than once a month. Not a problem. Every day or every weekend at the casino sounds like a PROBLEM.

There are three things cops do to get themselves into trouble.

    1. Women
    2. Booze
    3. Gambling

Not that there is specifically anything wrong with any of the above but some people do the wrong thing or overindulge. It is WORSE before getting hired as it can flag someones app.

relax, you shouldn't have a problem, I don't think Gamblers Anonymous is in your future.
And your whiney *** crybaby excuse would be....

Metallicat, yes, on the Canadian side. I've never been, so I have no idea how to get there. I hope it is by the Peace/Rainbow bridge at the Falls. I know how to get there. LOL

I think women are the biggest problem in LE. The male cops let the little head do the thinking for the big one, and all heck breaks loose.

The BI's know that when people turn 21... they drink. Its just what people do. Same with the gambling thing... turned 21... drove to vegas, gambled and got drunk while doing it. BI's know we are human. If you went to a casino 8 times in your life and haven't been there every month since then... I doubt they could consider that a gambling habit.
