Nypd #6011 Testing Result Question

So, I took the NYPD exam.. #6011 in February '07.

Answers were released on March 19, 07.

Today, I got a letter in the mail stating "Congratulations on passing" and to report for a medical exam on April 5th. Do most people get letter this quickly in the mail? I'm not sure what I scored on the exam, does this possibly mean I scored somewhat high? Please let me know.

I am sure almost everyone who passed 6011 got a letter. They are going to try and process you and everyone else from 6011 for the July academy.

Yea dude, I got a letter too. Look and check out your list number, and that should tell you how you did on the test. If its low, then the better. Im also going in for processing. : ) Cant wait.

nope no way to find out. It doesnt matter your list number, if you process and are done by june or july the chances that youll get in are quite high. The only reason other classses had to worry about their test number was bc the amt of people that were qualified candidates were so high so your list number could determine whether you got in the january class or had to wait for the july class. But that has gone down the tube since the pay salary has changed.

yea generally that is what happens...but your list # can change...that is the # before the exam is certified by DCAS....When I took the exam in Feb 04, I got a letter to come in to the academy for intial screening in march 04... I had to defer until this oct when I called back my list # had changed. Generally it will stay similar but it could get better or worse. Mine got worse by a 1000 or so but still a decent #. I went from low 1000s to low 2000s

I have a friend who is an Officer here in Queens and he told me that they are trying to really push people through. I'm guessing they took a hit from the salary drop and not as many people are signing up as before?

I'm taking the test in June, which means I won't get to the academy until Jan08, is that correct more or less?

at the risk of sounding absolutely retarded, what is a list # and where can I find mine ? I received the "congratuluations ... report to X at T" letter, but I don't see a list # anywhere.

On the front of the envelope that your congrats letter came in they indicate your exam number and list number above your address. It will be next to the exam number. Hope that helps.

96%, although from what im hearing it looks like you would be getting processed soon too. Dont take my word for it, but thats just what I heard.
