WOW - hey buddy ... congrads! I took some time off from my job search and have been involved in something else while I wait to start again. My wife has been majoring in CJ and I am about ready to start again ... you and I were in the same situations when we were talking last year - CONGRADS! I will be emailing you soon.

Thanks.. Everyone around here kept telling me to apply at Phoenix PD. They were the last department I applied to and decided that if I wasn't going to be selected - I would take a break. Turned out that they were the ones who hired me.

Everyone.. Thanks for the prayers.

My grandfather passed away on Saturday. He died from complications due to Dementia. Since I already purchased a red-eye flight on Thursday after work, I will be arriving just in time for the funeral.

It has been a bitter sweet roller-coaster of emotions here. I lost my grandfather, I started my dream job THEN I had to shave off my goatee. I was informed that my mustache has to come off as well before the academy starts. I look like a freakin teenager!!! :eek:

April 23rd must be a special day because the sheriff's department told me that should everything go well, and with final approval from the HR director, that would possibly be my hire date. The academy for me starts on May 2nd.
