    Federal Internships

So I am looking to get an internship with a Federal Agency by the time I get out of college. We are required to have two quarters of full co-op in order to graduate, so my college has fairly good connections with employers and what not. I was wondering if anyone has any experience in any Federal LE internships. I am mostly interested in the FBI internship, I am majoring in MIS and working on getting my CCNA certification, seeing as the require CCIE or CCNP in order to be hired as a IT/CS Special Agent. If anyone has any past experience in any Federal LE internship or has gone through the application process I would love to hear what you thought about it. Also my GPA is a 3.7, and I plan to minor in Arabic and some other field. Anything you could recommend changing to make me more attractive for the internship?

The federal internship program is a way agencies could hire good applicants without posting the opening officially. However, most internships are being placed on hold right now pending an appeal by the Treasury Union.

The way it works, is if an agency was looking for someone to hire, they would send a recruiter out with a job posting. It wasn't posted on USAjobs. But college graduates weren't the only ones that could apply. Pretty much anyone with a degree could apply as long as they knew about the position.

Here's an article from Washington Post about the ongoing battle:
