    Background interview question...

I have already passed the written exam and physical exam. I also turned my Personal History Packet in on Tuesday. Hopefully they wont DQ me after looking through it. I believe the next step is meeting with the background investigator to go over my packet. Should I wear a suit and tie to the interview with my background investigator or would slacks and a short-sleeved dress shirt be appropriate?

Spyke, i just got done doing the interview with the BI, i'd dress to impress in all the stages. Nothing shows respect like wearing a suit and tie in my opinion. Be ready to leave there feeling like a scum bag! Those BI are good at what they do and that means getting to the bottom of things.

Be polite and honest and you should be fine!

Suit & tie is the way to go. You are trying to get a job as an LEO. ANY time you go for ANY reason for interviews, whether it be an Oral Board, BG investigation, or even just a "We want to go over your application one more time with you, would you come in real quick?" Wear a Suit & Tie. When I was going through the hiring process at my Department, my BI said "This will just be real quick, don't worry about dressing up..." I still went in cleaned up, squared away, and a suit and tie. I took it as a test, perhaps it wasn't. But nevertheless, it won't hurt....
