    Question Criminal Justice Degree?

Hello everyone, i'm a 17 (1 month from 18) right now and in my Senior year in highschool. Ive taken legal and protective services 1 and 2 at my highschool. I'm considering going into college to get my bachelor degree in criminal justice. How much would this help me getting a job as a police officer, or any other type of work like that?

Also, my sophmore year in highschool I was suspended for 2 days for theft, had to go to juvenile court and was told that i had a good record and to not do that sort of thing again. I learned my lesson and sent a letter of apology to the victim of the theft. Would this hurt my chances of getting a job?

In most departments/agencies what your degree is not as important as having the degree. This goes for feds and locals. That is not to say that this is the case everywhere. Also, some agencies will recruit certain specialties more heavily than others.

Finally, I would not be all that concerned about the suspension/
