nypd 2nd tri-mester EASIER OR HARDER?

Well i struggled a lil bit with the first tri-mester but i think im more prepared for this one..I know i have to get the Crimes against Persons chapter down pat..fOR all of you nypd guys already on the street can u give me some study tips on how to study for the second tri=mester..I have heard that this is the hardest one..can u please inform me why?

I found the 2nd one to be easier of the three. Read the student guide. Highlight important details. Go over your lecture notes. Ask questions when your oci discusses a topic. What if questions are okay in discussions but questions posed to you on the test shouldn't be looked into so deep.

the crap you hear is unrealiable! Everything about the academy is rumors! gun and shield day is this that etc. There is no such thing as one being harder then the other. I found the 2nd and 3rd to be the easiest because i knew exactly what type of questions they were going to ask. I got a 92 on my first one and then a 99 on my second one. You get used to the questions and as i read the chapters, i started making up questions in my mind they would ask. I was about 30 percent right. Thats not too bad considering i was coming into that test thinking i knew 1/3 the questions right off the bat!

really....damn i hope so ..i im gonna get down Crimes against persons and also Theft Offeneses down to a tee..I will def know all radio codes and looking to get at least a 85 on this one..i got 6 days to bang out some studying..thanks everyone for letting me know what to study and everything

Dont kill your self on the last 2 chapters... cause evidence chapter will there and EDPs...I would tell you to do an out line for each chapter all over again and read everything... you can read a chapter every 2 hrs... so over this weekend you can hit all the chapters once over...thats what im doing.
look at all the quizzes and find the answers and make sure you fully understand why each answer is what it is. that should be a big help.
Go to Tutoring every day... this week will be pretty important...
the more you hear and see the power points the better you will be...

yes.. I got a pack today in the Aud. We had a review... it was pretty crapy cause the Sgt. That sound like Borat did it and it was right out the PG

haha i know exactly who u are talkin aobut...i had him for the CIMS overtime training...all he would say is "OKAY RECRUITS, OKAY RECRUITS, OKAY RECRUITS....it was hard to learn from him

I think that was my OCI. Sgt T if i'm not mistaken. Unfortunatly I did not have him at the end. I heard the day he finally calls you officer as opposed to recruit he actually smiles. If it's the same guy that you guys are talking about he is a guy that actually cares but maybe a little to by the book most times. He has earned his position, trust me, he worked hard. Some instructors make fun of him and that ain't right.

On second thought he can't care that much cause 6 months after graduating I went back to say hello to a few instructors and he had no idea who I was. After some confusion he said in his Borat way-, "now go protect the citizens of NYC like you were so brilliantly taught". That's just him.

Is it me or does anyone find some of these assaults and manslaughter and menacing charges to very alike? Man, i can't figure some of them out they are just so similar to me. Does anyone notice this?

how is everyone preparing for this exam on thursday?

They are all very similar. But the test is not as hard as it seems. Most of it is common sense. Most of the time you can eliminate 2 out of the 4 answers. Also, the 2nd trimester will not have charges in degrees. Just the charge itself.

do we need to know the chapters like stress management and like people in crisis? i would think the main chapters will be crimianal procedures and offeneses and EDPS. I would prob guess 3 quesitons will be 10 codes..

If anyone has taken this test already let me know the main chapters..
