Well, this is it. The main things stopping this from happening are my driving record ( license suspension) and background (bad checks from 1985). I hate that I did'nt get to pursue this all the way, but I did learn a few things. I'm not upset so much with the departments; they're only doing their jobs, but had I known that there would be problems with my background I would'nt have wasted their time or mine. I'm not perfect, I never claimed to be totally squeaky-clean, but apparently in light of recent events you have to be. I'm not whining, I'll get over it and move on. I'ts not the first time something did'nt work out in my life(i.e. marriage, business, etc.) and probably won't be the last. No pointing fingers or placing blame, just accepting responsibility for my actions and living with it. I'll still tip my hat to those who serve and congratulate those who made it. I thank one and all for the support and advice that was given.

Can you get the bad checks expunged ? Ask how long the suspension will "haunt " you . Perhaps after a certain period it won't count ?

Thanks, Busty,Mcsap,Ferris, DC. I just might try again later on, but I have a time-table to deal with. I have another year until my certification expires. I'll check into whether or not I can have the bad checks expunged and how long the suspension will cause problems. I'm down for now, but not out. Thanks, guys.
