Above edited for brevity to highlight the important parts.
1. Yes, the investigator will interview her. She is/was a significant other and will have known you intimately. The investigator is also likely to take into consideration that her information may be an anomaly. If he talks to your exs before her who report you were an outstanding gentleman who held the door for her, pushed her chair in at the table and stood everytime she did while your last one says you were demonspawn, that will be taken into consideration. Bear in mind it is his job to find your skeletons before they become an issue for the agency.
2. Departments will look at all of those items. Many departments have absolute limits on the number of times you have "experimented" with marijuana based on licensing requirements for the state. 12 times is on the higher side of allowable; some agencies may disqualify you for that amount. 7.5 years is sufficient time from last usage (most agencies I have seen want at least 3 years). Collegiate acomplishments wil not be sufficient to overcome the number of times used if you have exceeded that standard for the agency.
Good luck.
