Well so far I know my BI has contacted all my references, my mother, a few of my creditors and so on. So things are moving pretty smoothly.
Keepin' my fingers crossed!
According to my mom they had a very nice conversation, and one of my references said the same thing. This guy is really friendly, so that's good.

I know how you feel.. waiting is sometimes worse than a certain NO. I hate being at the end of the Alphabet. Just when I think they passed me up, I get invited to the next step.. so far. I am hoping for that call too.
Good luck!
Well no news as of late. I usually try to contact my BI once a week just to touch base, and see if he needs anything else.
I'll definately let you all know if anything new pops up.
Thanks again for all your support, you are all invaluable. :D

Best of luck to you, buddy. I just finished the last step with my PD, and now I have to wait also. The worst part of this is not knowing how many they're going to hire for this next class. It's supposed to be 75, but after talking to my BI, he's said that they've heard anywhere from 30 to 75. If it's 30, I may be in trouble. If it's more than that, I think I have a good shot.
Waiting sucks, but it's necessary and worth it. Good luck, everyone.
30-75 probably means they can hire up to 75 if there are that many people that are qualified that they want to hire.
Anyway, Jake, don't worry about the name being wrong. My BI has his email address wrong in his signature block. I am meeting with him for the first time tomorrow and not sure if I should bring it to his attention. It's like having something stuck in your teeth. Anyway I have my interview with him, my poly, prints, and psych and assuming I pass all that, then I wait for about 2 months to see if I will be starting the academy 5 weeks after that. Thankfully the hurry up and wait has been drilled into me in the military.
Good luck Jake.
Just one of many reasons to wear a helmet!
Jakelock, are you still AMMO? Or did you seperate and then start the process. I have a little over a year on my enlistment, but I was told by a couple of recruiters to start the process between 6mos-1yr out.
CONGRATULATIONS!! Its nice to see an ammotroop doing something positive. lol Oh, did your PD give verteran points? Nice score either way.

I'm still active, I've actually had my application in since late 2006, tested and did the physical in Feb and started the BI shortly after that.
IF I get hired, (crosses fingers, prays, hopes, pleads!!!! :D) the academy starts in July which is when my time ends.
Most departments won't give you veterans points unless you have your dd-214 which you can't get until you are finally out. There are a few but I think they are few and far between. Those points would've been nice tho, would've gotten a 97 then!
I would say it's a good idea to start about a year or so out.
