I have to say, it was one of the worst experiences i've ever had. This guy made me feel like i did everything wrong when i didnt. He had me convinced that i was a thief and drug user when i wasnt. Oh man what a day that was. Welp Im sure I failed now.

That's pretty typical for a feeling after the experience. Remember it's an interrogation technique designed to dig out of you everything you'd never tell your mom! ;)

Don't worry about it; you are supposed to feel that way.

When I left my examination, despite being told I was successful in being honest, I STILL felt like a dirtbag. It comes with the territory!

I'm sure things were fine. Don't succumb to those feelings of failure until someone tells you that you were unsuccessful!

Greek I feel the same way as you, check out my post I took my poly on saturday too. I have no idea what to think. He tried to have me convinced that I was a felon!

Yeah man, don't sweat it until you hear otherwise. When I filled out my PHQ, I felt like the biggest POS. I haven't been hired yet, but I have the psych left and I'm good. The poly and PHQ are meant to dig out the gory details of your past. Good luck with the rest of your process.

I guess everyones experiance is different, I was nervous as hell going in (because I didnt know what to expect ) and my examiner made me feel relaxed .. Maybe it was the fact that we were both Greek ! :D Not sure but my experiance wasn't bad !

I was nervous during my first polygraph test. But the examiner never made me feel like a criminal. When I took my second polygraph test, the examiner cut it short because he knew that I had nothing to hide. My first test was for self sponsorship to the academy. My second polygraph test was for sponsorship by the sheriff's office.

Just got the letter from the police department. They are no longer considering me. Im totally bummed.They did not contact any of my refereences which means i must have failed the poly alone. I dont unstand how. I didnt lie about anything. Gosh this sucks.
Now everytime i take the poly they will go back and look at the first one and compare. Ill never be able to be a police officer. Terrible.

Not true at all. There are many officers I know even here on RP that failed the poly once or twice before being hired with another dept. As long as you say the truth you should not have a problem.
Keep your head up and try to get back in the game.

Thanks for the support. I guess Im just angry at the fact that i did not lie but still failed. It just boggles my mind. This just gives me motivation to keep going. I guess ill just chalk this up to some well earned experience on the poly.
