Does any one know how difficult it is to become a border patrol agent? Which process is harder, Border patrol or City Police Dept.?

Apples and oranges. They have different jobs and look for different qualities in new hires. My agency doesn't care if any of us speak Spanish, the BP needs to see if you have the aptitude to learn a new language. That's just scraping the surface. I know it was a lot easier for me to get hired where I am at than it would for me to get on with BP. I suspect there are plenty of BPers however who wouldn't do well with some of what I have to do.
All agencies are going to be looking for folks who are clean of drug use and moral turpitude issues. They are going to look for folks who can test well, get through the physical aspects of basic training (FLETC or Academy), and are articulate and intelligent.

While it may not have been your intent, the verbiage from your post seems to indicate you want to get on with an agency if the training isn't "too hard." If that's the case, you may want to look for another career. Some private sector security companies have less rigorous hiring/training process (some are better than others). If you're looking for an easy way that won't cause you much pain and discomfort during training, law enforcement probably won't be your best bet (or the military either, for that matter).

My new hero!
What i ment to ask is about the hiring process like the background investigation. I love police work and i dont find myself doing something else other than law enforcement. I know that is hard anywhere, Ive done two Police pre-academy which is basically an academy fitness class and no problem. I know what the academy is like and what it takes and i am willing to put myself through it. So my question is which one has higher standards on the hiring process.
Unless you can find some podunk sheriff's department where you know the sheriff the vast majority of police/sheriff's departments and federal agencies are going to have very high standards and are going to have difficult hiring processes. In the modern age of liability fear, negligent hiring is a real risk agencies are aware of.
