    PAT Rescheduling????

I focked up bad this weekend. I had a race and I ended up crashing and messing up my ankle and leg...Whole whold leg from the shin down is swollen and ankle as well. I can walk still and not to much pain.

Im suppost to take the PAT Test this weekend for Signal Hill, CA. Do you think I can reschedule?? If not im just taping it up and doing it anyways...if I fail will they allow me to try it again in a few weeks or something...I heard a few places do that....

    Any help is appreciated,

    Thanks

Not trying to be a wiseass here, but in reality, if there are no Signal Hill, Ca. RECRUITERS/TESTERS on this board, I doubt that your'e going to get the answer that you are looking for. What you should do is call this P.D. and ask them about rescheduling this PAT. All they can do is tell you no. Different agencies have different rules in dealing with new hires/ recruits. They do things one way here at my department, but I highly doubt that it is the same way over there.

In my past experience, they'll have you re-take everything over again from scratch next time they have the written test. Signal Hill uses the LASD STAR center training field in whittier (about 20 miles from SH), I doubt they will take the time to send out 3 of their recruiting officers to test just one possible recruit. Best thing to do is show up to the test and hope for rain so they reschedule the test for everyone.

Yeah, I kinda figured that....im totally bummed...but it was the gnarliest crash and it was caught on camera, action shots...I should be getting them this week...:D

I have been putting ice and then a heating pad on it since sunday. I can walk alot better even run, but my leg is still swollen and hurts, but I think I will be able to make it.

Not going to let this stop me.

    Thanks for the info guys.

Wear shorts when you do the PAT. Even if you fail, if your leg is that screwed up it will leave an impression and you won't have to make up an excuse for failing, it'll be out there for all to see. When you go back you will be remembered.
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new guards for their future security.

Translation for the intellectually challenged: If the government screws the people too much, it is the right and duty of the people to revolt and form a new government.

HAHA.....good idea!!!:D I dont think it will be a problem...I scaled the 6ft wall in 4.8 seconds from stand point, did 30 pushups in 38seconds, 30 situps in 44 seconds. I just havent seen what type of objects they put in the 99yard obstacle course. Then we only have to run 1 and a quarter lap around the track...:p
