Connecticut Police department hiring process...7 months and counting. I have made it through two department BI's and feel I am close. DQ'd by one department for coke use in college 12 yrs ago. Just wondering what some others are experiencing with regard to the length of the process? p.s. I already know that what is worth having is worth waiting for, so that advice can be left out.

I took the Pennsylvania State Police test in January of 03. I completed all the steps and I'm waiting to hear from them to tell me if I pass the background investigation. It takes a while, sometimes a year or more. Be patient.

Just found out today that if i get accepted, I won't be going to the academy until April... what a bummer!

Almost a year, by the time I start the academy. I started applying last november(before I got out of the military) and just got hired 2wks ago. My academy date is 17NOV. :D I cant wait!!
