Nypd Tri-mester Exam Right Around The Corner

Well my OCI has informed my company the test is gonna be on the 13th which is a Tuesday..I dont know how to study for this exam..

Should i re-read all the chapters?

Should i go over my notes on the power point presentations?

Should i go to extra help all next week?

Some of you veterens let me and the rest of the academy know whats the best strategy for studying for the first tri-mester?

Depends on how you did on the quizzes and if you need all that extra studying.

I personally believe someone can *over* study. If you did well on the quizzes and generally understand the information, I'd simply read over your notes to freshen up and call it a day.

However that's just me and I'm really smart :D

hahah i hear ya mikecrazy...i had like a 78 average on my pre-quizzes but on the official quizzes my average was a 92..im gonna study my butt off all week and try and ace this test...

Look over those questions that are on the Dept/ quizzes. They are usually similar to the ones on the test. Your OCI should tell you which chapter will be focused on the most. You dont have to kill yourselves but you should study the material. Remember this is your livelyhood. Take pride in what you do.

You came through loud and clear on that. Just hold yourself accountable for being the best prepared you can be but paying attention to what the OCI says and putting some extra focused time in should make it a more succesfull outcome.

I did flashcards of what I thought was important. I had around a 90 average on the academics in the academy.

I made flash cards also...i am gonna re-read all the chapters this week to better prepare myself..I dont wanna put myself in a postion where im gonna be cramming and not feel confident..

I read teh patrol guide and went to the extra reviews. They seemed decent for me.

You guys seem to have it easy with all these powerpoint notes and this recruit handbook...I was given the patrol guide and lectured too and had to take my own notes. And my tests weren't open book like I heard they are now!!!
