Ok good, im glad I didnt screw myself over. I guess it could be a good thing if all the instructors know my name. When I improve and I know I will, they will be watching me. Therefor, I will make them happy. Our first test is on Monday, with no homework it should be fairly easy. So far we have been released from the academy everyday at 1430 hours on the dot. Our class has 82 people, tomorrow is day 5 and so far only one person has dropped out. I think our class is doing pretty good.

I had no idea that so many people would drop out of the academy. Wouldn't your agency get pissed for hiring someone that ends up blowing it in the academy?
Are there 12 mile runs or something that people can't take?

I am in the process with Colorado State Police, planning to attend the July class. Thanks for this post and the contributions. It is helpful to hear what goes on at the academy. If anyone has any specific input as to the CO. State academy, I'd love to hear it.
Colorado State Patrol
2-12-07 written exam taken
5-23 Received call "passed exam" , and sched for ploygraph. Passed
6-16-07 background investigation complete .(only took 2weeks.) Passed
6-13-07 polygraph taken
6-16-07 received "passed" call for polygraph
9-10-07 received call that I have been appointed to the academy and scheduled for pt and psychological test.
11-2-7 received pass and "final offer"!
1-8-08 start!

Yeah everyone at LAPD academy knows about you passing out..including Elysian and Davis staff! Remember you have about 4 weeks until you go out and run in the streets of westchester..and you don't want to be last out there...everyone driving by will see you..and some talk ****. You gotta laugh..as long as you don't quit you'll be fine. There has to be somebody in the back. Just make sure you eat..I'm sure your PT instructor told you that they hate taking recruits to the hospital..because of all the paperwork they need to do. Who is your primary?
