So, you also feel I'm not worthy of a badge? I never stole anything, or hurt anyone in my life. The only fights I ever got into was stopping my "friends" from beating up the more well behaved kids in school. I choose not to rat my "friends" out when we were all arrested. These are mistakes I made as a youth. The firearm was in a bag I didn't know it was in there. Possession as explained to me is the access you have to it. The suspended license was a family member impersonating me, and cutting the mail off before it came to me. Have an accident, take pain killers, have no one to explain to you that they are habit forming, ween YOURSELF off with out help at 19, then you can say I'm a drug abuser. Doctor gave them to me..I had pain(felt very real to me)...so I took them. I had my share of adversity and overcame it. I applied once and got rejected (Did not have the newly required college credits). Second time was the charm. Good Luck.

A cop would cut through the Bantar, get verified and stop yapping. They dont call your supervisor and ask a million questions they just verify your employment.

However, based on your own accounts of your past, you would not have gotten past any of the agencies that I have applied to. I have done nothing to indicate I have a questionable history, nor have many of the applicants that applied to various agencies. If you were to ask every verified member of this community, they would overwhelmingly indicate that intregrity and a history of following the laws of society are the most important qualities for a LEO. Based on your posts, you have failed in this regard.
If you can prove to everyone here that you are indeed a LEO, you should do so. The bottom line is nobody here will believe you until you get verified. There is nothing you can do to persuade others to believe you. However, if you can prove that you are legitimate, your attitude in your previous posts has alienated many of the verified members. At this point the best you can hope for, in my opinion, is to prove them wrong and stop posting. I feel like you will only receive negative attention for as long as you continue refuse to get verified, and even if you did you have simply stepped on too many toes.
I can give as good as I get partner. I really doubt any LEO is thin-skinned enough to be bothered by what has been written. I get spoken to worse everyday. At least on my part I am not offended as I have thick-skin. If we can't agree to disagree than we all might as well shoot ourselves.

It's not that you're not fit, no one here even knows you to make that judgment. It's that the "answer for everything" mentality doesn't fit the role you are claiming to possess. Roger hit the nail on the head: I know I have never met a cop that seemed to have a need to explain, apologize, and answer when someone questions the legitimacy of what they know they are right in doing, they just DO it. THAT is what seems odd here, less than the history--and congratulations if in fact you have overcome it.
    Always we begin again.

It doesn't matter what I think about you. I am just a guy trying to become a cop. The point, at least to me, is that you abused narcotics. I used to be a substance abuse counselor (not licensed, had a licensed therapist sign off on my groups I ran) and worked in a detox center for 3 years. I know quite a bit about prescription drugs. Many are very addictive, and I am not saying you did not have a legitimate reason for using them at first. Depending on the type of drugs you were taking (almost certainly opiates if they were for pain), you could become addicted fairly quickly. Opiates are narcotics-it is the same if you are abusing heroin or vicodin. Because you did not but them off the streets or shoot them up does not make it less of an issue. Every place I have tested for has abuse of prescription medications as an automatic offense. There is no way of knowing, but from past experience I simply can not believe that the same doctor knowingly gave you more and more narcotics without giving you a warning about the effects. There are clear warnings on the bottles, and I would consider you to at the very least be naive if at 19 you did not know about the potential risks of prescription medications. The drug abuse is the reason that I personally feel that there were more qualified applicants without a drug history (and the other things you listed). This is why so many people simply do not believe you. As I indicated earlier, get verified and show us that you are what you say. Even if you prove to me that you are a LEO, I will never understand how you did it based on what I have seen in the agencies I have applied for.

........Im not a LEO, but I would think that "impersonating" a police officer would get you banned..... Im thinking with your background, and you got hired, I have an awesome shot. What dept do you work for again? Im applying there!

Just get verified. If you really are a LEO, then do it. If not, People wont take you serious if you dont. This thread is an example...

I don't own this site, nor do I make the rules for verification of LEOs. If someone wants to pout about the rules because they don't want to follow them, so be it.

This site is better off without him/her (to include "dignified":rolleyes:_g_man).
