    Polygraph Results?

How long do polygraph results normally take? It has been 2 weeks since I took my poly and my investigator says he is still waiting for the results before I can be scheduled for my Psych Eval.
The examiner gave the impression that everything went well but said that she needed someone else to look over the results. Do they have to do further analysis of the results for the Psych Eval? And I thought that the Pass/Fail result was almost instantaneous.
On a side note, the polygraph examiner was from a private company.
    Thanks for any help.

It depends. I was fortuante enough to have my poly done in house so I was notified of the results immediately. With a separate firm involved they probably took the results, reviewed them, then will notify the department in writing who may then notify you in writing. The love dragging these things out! Sit back and enjoy the ride

Just because an examiner is confident that you showed no signs of deception does not mean that it has not be reviewed yet by his supervisor and agreed to. Your polygrapher may be confident you "passed", but without the approval of his boss, you may have to wait until its received.

YEah, I got my results immediately. I passed on all eleven questions. Here's the thing though, which the captain told me when I went to the interview. My results were easy to "grade" because I'd never done anything wrong and the poly didn't waver with any of my questions (they showed me the sheet :D .) Some people though will tell all truths but the truths are like yes I have done drugs, or yes I have stolen something in the past and they are a bit harder to grade, from what I was told.

Roger Dat, my friends were hired by Saugerties Police last year and never had to do a poly. Does that sound right? You said you did one. Seems a little wierd, but oh well.
