NYPD Mini Med... Please HELP!

Hello,

I am kind of getting a bad feeling about this hiring process… I passed the test a few months ago. In the last month I went to Pre-hire Interview, Medical, psychological, met my investigator and handed in all the paper work. Then 2 investigators came to my home and job and talked to a few neighbors and supervisors… Its Jan 1 now and I still have not gotten anything kind of letter for the mini medical.. am I alone on this or is anyone else going thrugh it like me? My investigator doesn’t want to tell me anything, and I met up with her a few times to hand in all my work, I called her back and she doesn’t really need anything else from me.. I am just thinking I should have gotten a letter for the mini med… If anyone else has this problem please let me know ASAP…

UPDATE:

I called APD and they told me that i took the mini Med the same day as the regular medical.
I called my investigator and she said my paper work was being looked at.
Has any one gotten a call to get sworn in yet?
Or any kind of letter?

Did you get your hair cut at the medical? If so it was probably also the mini-med. If not I'de give the candidate service desk a call and see if you can schedule the mini-med.

It is very possible they did your mini med at your initial medical because it is so close to hire time.

Your hair has to be at least 1.5" for them to take the sample from your head.

They took my hair sample at my initial mini-med but I was also called to complete my mini-med. THey never sent me a notice to appear for my mini-med, I got a call.

Oh and another thing..........I really think u should call APD just to make sure u weren't put on review for anything because that would stop them from calling you for your minimed.

okay thanx for getting this thing going... I did all the medicals in one day.
there were some people that had to come back for a "mini" med cause thier blood presure was too high.. or something.. I called up APD and they told me about how it works.

When was your original mini-medical?? I was also drug tests but mine was earlier this month. So now im wondering if I will have to go back also.

october 25 was my initial medical....I dont think you will have to do a mini med if you had your initial medical real recent

See that seems kind of strange I was told that the 07 class will start Jan 10.
If you got your mini med on Jan 8 and you had a full med some time last month (I am assuming) Then on Jan 8 you should get sworn in.
from what i have heard and read... You get your first Med then jst pysic. and then a mini med which is also where they swear you in...
but This class is so messed up that i still see people rolling in to see the investigator for the first time... so its hard to tell.

Did some investigators come to youre home and job to ask about you?
Cause they did that to me.

and its Jan 4 and i still havent heard anything ... I just dont want the start date to pass me by... Or who knows maybe they will push back the hire date to like Jan 15... I dont know...

You get sworn in on the first 3 days of the academy, not before at the mini-med. The academy is aparently going in on the 10th and it has been cut back to 1000.

Call APD and ask if you are "4 Q'ued". If you are, then you should have no worries.
